(“ArkEdge Space”), a Japanese space startup based in Tokyo that provides comprehensive solutions from planning and design to mass production and operation of micro-satellite constellations, is pleased to announce its selection for the fifth “J-Startup” program, a startup support initiative led by Japan’s Ministry of Economy, Trade, and Industry (METI).
About J-Startup
J-Startup is a startup acceleration program launched in June 2018 and now managed by METI, Japan External Trade Organization （JETRO), and New Energy and Industrial Technology Development (NEDO) to foster globally competitive startups. The program selects high-potential companies based on recommendations from experienced venture capitalists, corporate new business executives, and other industry experts. J-Startup companies gain access to various support measures including: participation in major global and domestic events, overseas expansion assistance, expanding bidding opportunities, and collaboration with private-sector “J-Startup Supporters”. Through the provision of these resources, the program aims to accelerate the growth of Japan’s most promising startups and position them for success in the global market.
