Tokyo, Japan, December 24, 2025 – ArkEdge Space Inc. (“ArkEdge Space”), a Japanese space startup based in Tokyo that provides comprehensive solutions from planning and design to mass production and operation of micro-satellite constellations, today announced that it has joined in the launch of a new company, WALL Inc. (“WALL”), in collaboration with six companies headquartered or operating in Wakayama Prefecture.
WALL was launched with the aim of fostering the creation of a regional space-related industry in Wakayama.
Centered on collaboration among local companies, universities, government institutions, and space-sector stakeholders, WALL will focus on human resource development and capacity building needed to support sustainable participation in the space industry.
As a private-sector-led initiative, WALL seeks to serve as a hands-on platform that connects industry, academia, and government through real-world applications. By creating such a practical environment, WALL aims to build a strong foundation of talent and companies engaged in the space industry in Wakayama.
Leveraging the technical expertise and operational experience it has accumulated through the design, manufacturing, and operation of micro-satellites, ArkEdge Space will contribute to WALL by working closely with regional companies, universities, and local governments. Together, ArkEdge Space and WALL aim to support the formation of a regional space industry cluster in Wakayama. At the same time, they plan to share knowledge and insights with similar regional initiatives emerging across Japan, promoting sustainable, locally rooted industry creation that reflects the unique strengths of the Wakayama region.
