ArkEdge Space and Kongsberg Satellite Services AS Sign MoU to Promote Strategic Collaboration in the Micro-satellite Sector

Tokyo, Japan, June 3, 2025 — ArkEdge Space Inc. (“ArkEdge Space”), a Japanese space startup based in Tokyo that provides comprehensive solutions from planning and design to mass production and operation of micro-satellite constellations, is pleased to announce the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Kongsberg Satellite Services AS (“KSAT”), a global leader in ground segment and satellite operations services, to establish a strategic partnership in the microsatellite sector.
Through this partnership, ArkEdge Space aims to accelerate the development of a robust business foundation essential for the global deployment of commercial microsatellite services.

Overview

The MoU outlines the following areas of collaboration to strengthen global microsatellite operations and advance next-generation missions:

  1.  Ground Station and Operations Integration: Exploring opportunities for joint development and utilization of ground station infrastructure—including regions beyond Asia—and exploring cooperation in satellite operations.
  2.  Satellite Technology and Data Sharing: Assessing opportunities for mutual collaboration in satellite bus and payload technologies, as well as mission data exchange.
  3.  Japan–Norway Cooperation: Exploring opportunities for bilateral collaboration in satellite data utilization and scientific missions.
