Tokyo, Japan, November 6th, 2024 – ArkEdge Space Inc. (“ArkEdge Space”), a Japanese space startup based in Tokyo that provides comprehensive solutions from planning and design to mass production and operation of small satellite constellations,
will participate in the United Nations Climate Change Conference (COP29) and exhibit for the first time at the Japan Pavilion, hosted by the Ministry of the Environment, Government of Japan.
The conference will be held in Baku, Azerbaijan, from November 11 to 22, 2024, and we will be the only company from the space industry exhibiting at the pavilion.
COP is a global conference that brings together international organizations, governments, municipalities, NGOs, and private companies to discuss strategies and policies to mitigate global warming. Since its inception in 1995, the COP has served as a key platform for shaping international climate action, and this year marks its 29th session. The COP 29 Japan Pavilion, hosted by the Ministry of Environment, Government of Japan, will showcase Japan’s leading products, services and climate change initiatives to a global audience.
At the Japan Pavilion, ArkEdge Space will be showcasing its climate change solutions and demonstrating how our satellite development and data utilization provide a comprehensive approach to monitoring and protecting the natural environment. We are advancing a geospatial information platform that integrates satellite data, geospatial information, and IoT inputs to deliver customized insights tailored to customer needs.
Through this platform, we detect and identify various changes in the natural environment and associated risks, and provide clear, visualized data that is accessible to users without specialized expertise.
At our exhibition, we will demonstrate the platform’s capabilities and provide updates on our satellite development projects, including remote sensing satellites optimized for environmental data collection.
ArkEdge Space remains committed to providing end-to-end solutions – from planning and design to mass production and operation of small satellite constellations – as part of our mission to “empower people with satellites for a prosperous future”.
