ArkEdge Space Co., Ltd. is pleased to announce the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with three organizations—two from the Kyrgyz Republic and one from the Republic of Tajikistan. This agreement marks the beginning of joint research focused on collecting climate change and nature-related data through satellite technology and addressing regional challenges.
Background and History
ArkEdge Space has actively participated in business forums and workshops in Central Asia organized by the Ministry of Economy, Trade and Industry, the Japan External Trade Organization (JETRO), and the Japan-Russia Trade Association (ROTOBO). During these events, ArkEdge Space engaged in discussions with various organizations on utilizing satellite data to address the challenges in Central Asia, such as water resource management, natural disaster monitoring, natural resource exploration, and smart agriculture.
To contribute to the creation of new value and sustainable development in the Central Asian region, ArkEdge Space has signed MoUs with two organizations in the Kyrgyz Republic and one in the Republic of Tajikistan. The partnership will leverage our satellite data platform, which is designed to efficiently collect climate and nature-related information and provide customized solutions to meet regional needs.
Initiatives
- Utilizing a web-based Space Data Platform provided by ArkEdge Space Inc. which contains satellite-image data to demonstrate some application and build capacity.
- Promoting research, business activities, and collaborative opportunities utilizing remote sensing technology and satellite IoT communications technology
- Conduct workshops and events on the application of satellite technology and climate change and nature-related data.
- Conducting workshops and academic events on space technology applications and climate change and nature-related data.
- Explore the potential for strategic partnerships regarding demonstration opportunities utilizing a satellite constellation of ArkEdge Space Inc.
ArkEdge Space will continue to propose new solutions using its micro-satellite constellation technology to achieve our mission of “Creating a safer and more prosperous future through satellites.”
About the High Technology Park (Kyrgyz Republic)
High Technology Park (HTP) was established in 2011 to foster the technology industry by providing a special business environment for tech companies and startups within Kyrgyzstan and beyond. HTP offers tax incentives, incubation programs, education, IT community support, job creation for young people, and fosters a culture of technology, aiming to contribute to global economic development and a sustainable IT ecosystem.
HTP is led by Azis Abakirov, a pro-Japan advocate with academic experience in Japan. Several Japanese companies have collaborated with HTP on business development in Kyrgyzstan and Central Asia. Following discussions on satellite technology and data utilization at the KIT Forum in Bishkek and JETRO’s Central Asia Workshop, the partnership was formalized with this MoU.

About the Certification Centers, Public Services and Development of Digital Programs (Republic of Tajikistan)
Established under the Agency of Innovation and Digital Technologies under the President of the Republic of Tajikistan, this organization aims to enhance digital maturity across key economic and social sectors, fostering a foundation for knowledge-based economic development. Following dialogue at a JETRO workshop in Dushanbe, we initiated collaboration to pursue digital transformation using space technologies.
